In active participation, it is important to consider the needs of the poor and marginalized groups such as women, ethnic minorities and the disabled. These will impose some kind of believe in the community members since it is democratic and encourages grassroot participation.

It will also lead to cost sharing as community members will mobilize themselves to undertake development activities. Due to this, the amount that should have been used by agent will reduce.

It will also bring development satisfaction, pride and confidence in the community members. Thus self-actualization. The people who are involved will feel they have been recognized.

• Facilitation

With the help of a facilitator, the community must be put in a position to respond to their own needs. Community members must be engaged to address their own issues. The facilitator must create a room for discussion or promote debate and allow community members to come out with their ideas.

They ideas, ability, and experience must be respected and encouraged to trust their own ideas. They must be motivated through non-monetary consideration by recognizing their effort and praising their ability.
