Production Boreholes

Drilling Production boreholes. Installing windmills for areas with no electricity and submersibles or diesel pumps. Pumping the clean water from the boreholes into reservoirs to tanks.

The other cheaper option is to drill boreholes and install hand pumps.

Other option is to pump water out of the existing river or dams and purify by UV light. The UV Light kills harmful bacteria in the water

Prevention is better than cure.

Most important is to prevent the pollution of water. Water can get polluted in various ways. The most common culprits are leaking underground storage tanks, landfills and hazardous waste sites and improper deposit of sewages. JAMES KAYONDE

2. Groundwater: How can we give communities long-term access to groundwater? Some time back bore holes were set up in our community, but most of them are down today, this is due to; Poor knowledge on how to handle and use the bore holes, and also it was observed that one borehole was being accessed by many people, if at all these two issues are addressed underground water won’t be a problem. Once borehole can be allocated ...more »

The community members will then be responsible as a community to take care and clean around and the water collection ...more »
